Purdham denies Quins exit talk
10:50am Friday 3rd September 2010

Harlequins RL skipper Rob Purdham has quashed talk of a move away from the club by insisted he is committed to the Londoners for next season.
Rumours swirled around the national press on Friday that Purdham was set for a switch to Wakefield, ending a turbulent year on and off the field.
But the Quins captain revealed nothing could be further from the truth.
Purdham said: “There is no truth to the story whatsoever.
“My wife actually texted me to tell me I was on my way to Wakefield as she had seen it in the paper, and I thought she was joking.
“I have no idea where that have got this story from.
“It would be an advantage to be closer to my family after everything that has happened, but the truth is that we are settled here and happy here.
“I have a contract for next season and there are talks about a testimonial, and I will be proud to achieve that as a Quins player.
“All the focus for me now is on how we move the club forward next year.
“With Mac going we need a coach to come in with definite ideas on how to take us forward again and I look forward to being part of that.”
